About LessCash/Cashless Townships

Hon’ble PM’s has given clarion call to transform India into a new modern and lesscash society. The transition to such an economy is the next big step in the battle against corruption.

A lesscash Society describes an economic state whereby financial transactions are not conducted with money in the form of physical banknotes or coins, but rather through the transfer of digital money between the transacting parties.

GNFC undertook it as a mission and was at the forefront of this nationwide drive to implement the vision of a lesscash society. GNFC’s driving force of the endeavour was to rapidly institutionalize a lesscash ecosystem, to protect and promote business and transactions conducted by thousands farmers and retailers.

GNFC, Bharuch Township was launched as the first 100% lesscash Township of lndia by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat on 13th February, 2017. NITI Aayog has adopted GNFC lesscash Township Model for possible replication in-various integrated/industrial Townships across the country. Taking it further, Hon’ble Prime Minister had launched 75 integrated Industrial Townships as Less Cash Townships on 14th April, 2017 at Nagpur.
